Pride in The City

I only went to the local Pride event in Poughkeepsie last year (i was super on a budget last year), and i’ve only been down in the city once this year just after new years … if i’d planned better i would have stayed over a night or two … but a quick day trip is fun too

and i got to see a new part of The High Line that connects to the new train station …

I actually mostly skipped the parade itself (except for 2020 when it was just a mass march i rarely go to the parade), there is plenty of other crazy stuff going on all around town on that i just wander through it all and then see if i want to stop anywhere …

which is how i ended up sitting on Pier 45 watching people dance and double dutch. it was also easier to meet up with my friend when only one of us was moving around … and he arrived (with beer) just before the sky opened up and poured all over everyone … i had my rain jacket, and most people were ready for it … so it was fun!

Another successful Pride in the books i made my way back to Grand Central a little soggy … but happy …
